Maintenance Supervisor

This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

We are looking to recruit a Maintenance Supervisor within the Voids Team covering our housing portfolio. This position requires a hard-working individual with good people management skills, excellent communications and a track record of providing an excellent customer experience.

Your main role will include direct line management of a team of in-house trades delivering a range of services across the Repairs and Maintenance Team.

You will provide leadership to the team through effective coaching, mentoring, one to ones and team briefings, ensuring the team members are inducted and adequately trained to fulfil their responsibilities, and are working to policy and procedure. You will also support in the management of contractors and quality audits in these work streams ensuring they are meeting Connexus Standards.

You will need to demonstrate a good knowledge of current health and safety legislation, construction regulation and best practices.

Skills/Qualifications Required:

  • A minimum of 4 GCSEs, grade C or above to include English and Mathematics, or equivalent.
  • ONC/HNC in building studies (or comparable) is highly desirable, and a willingness to work towards this will be supported.
  • A full driving licence.
  • Basic DBS Check.
  • You will have thorough understanding of all relevant Health and Safety at Work procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of employees, contractors and tenants.
