Electrician - Approved
This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.
The vacancy
We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Electrician to join our Decent Homes team covering our housing portfolio in the Herefordshire/Shropshire area covering from Hereford to Ludlow. This position requires a person who has experience of working on installs, is self-motivated with strong organisational skills, excellent communication skills, enjoys being part of a team and a track record of providing a positive customer experience to our customers.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- 1st and 2nd fixes to kitchens and bathrooms
- Rewires when required
- Consumer unit upgrades
- Testing installation works upon completion to NIC standard
- Working as a fundamental part of the Capital works/Decent homes team.
You will need to demonstrate a good understanding of current health and safety legislation, building regulations and a willingness to continue to develop your knowledge and skills.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An NVQ level 3 (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition BS7671
- 2391 Testing and Inspection (or equivalent)
- Installation experience
- Social housing experience (desirable)
- Full Clean Driving Licence
In return we will provide a company vehicle, testing equipment and power tools.
There will be a requirement for you to participate in our out of hour’s on-call rota in which a standby payment will be paid plus an hourly rate for each call out attended. This is in addition to the basic salary and dependent on how many times you are on the rota for call out.
