Domestic Abuse Support Officer - Outreach
This is a Fixed Term Contract, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.
The vacancy
Shropshire Domestic Abuse Service (SDAS) provides a range of excellent specialist domestic abuse support services including the community-based outreach support team, the refuge and other safe accommodation for those fleeing domestic abuse, recovery groups and peer support. You would be part of the outreach team.
You’ll have experience in
- Working in a front-line service with individuals in crisis situations
- Risk assessing
- Safety Planning
- Dealing with confidential information, and recording onto electronic system
You’ll have these skills and attributes
- Demonstrating an understanding of domestic abuse issues across all diverse families
- Excellent effective communication skills
- Ability to successfully juggle conflicting priorities
- Strong engagement skills; building relationship and networking opportunities with collaborative partnership agencies
