Heating Services Supervisor

The vacancy
We’re looking for an experienced Heating Services Supervisor to lead a team of multi‑skilled Heating Engineers and trades professionals working across our property portfolio.
In this key role, you’ll manage a team of in‑house engineers responsible for delivering high‑quality servicing, repairs and maintenance to our housing stock. You’ll bring strong technical knowledge of heating systems, appliances and safety standards, along with the confidence to guide and support your team to deliver excellent results.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing day‑to‑day leadership, coaching and mentoring to a team of Heating Engineers.
- Managing performance through one‑to‑ones, team briefings and effective communication.
- Ensuring all team members are fully trained, inducted and working to policy, procedure and safety standards.
- Supporting the M&E Manager with operational oversight of the heating service.
- Overseeing contractors working within the heating workstreams to ensure quality and compliance.
- Ensuring safe, compliant installation, servicing and maintenance of heating appliances across our homes.
- Participating in the Connexus out‑of‑hours call‑out rota, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
To be successful, you must hold:
Essential
- ACS Domestic Gas qualifications (core modules and appliances)
- NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Plumbing and Heating
- HETAS qualification
- A full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Experience or qualifications in Renewable Technologies
- Team Leader/management level 2/3
- OFTEC
You’ll also bring proven experience in the heating industry and a strong understanding of current safety procedures and standards.
