We're looking for an experienced compliance or building safety professional to join our team as Compliance and Assurance Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in ensuring our homes remain safe, compliant and well maintained. Working closely with the Head of Building Safety and Compliance, you'll help shape our approach to compliance assurance, drive continuous improvement and provide confidence to customers, colleagues and regulators.

You'll lead a talented team, influence strategic decisions and make a genuine difference to the safety and quality of homes across our communities.

About the Role

As Compliance and Assurance Manager, you'll lead our compliance assurance activities across a range of statutory and regulatory areas, ensuring services are delivered safely, effectively and in line with legal requirements.

You'll work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors and partners to manage risk, improve performance and deliver excellent outcomes for customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead compliance programmes covering gas, electrical, fire, water hygiene, lifts, damp and mould, and other building safety requirements.
  • Ensure inspections, servicing and remedial works are completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Oversee compliance systems, reporting and data quality to support effective assurance and decision-making.
  • Manage compliance contracts and monitor contractor performance.
  • Lead, develop and motivate a high-performing compliance team.
  • Identify and manage risks, supporting audits, inspections and continuous improvement activities.
  • Provide assurance to senior leaders and regulators on compliance performance.

What We're Looking For

You'll be an experienced compliance, building safety, asset management or property professional with the confidence to lead teams, manage risk and drive high standards of performance.

You'll bring:

  • Experience managing compliance, building safety or property-related services.
  • A good understanding of relevant compliance legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience managing contractors and monitoring service performance.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret compliance data and identify risks.
  • Proven leadership and people management experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and customer service.
  • A relevant qualification in property, construction, maintenance or compliance, or a willingness to work towards one.

This role has been identified as suitable for hybrid working which will be a combination of home working and working from our offices, with Head office at Craven Arms and travel to other offices as required.
