We're looking for an experienced PMO and Change Manager to lead Connexus' Project Management Office and help drive the successful delivery of strategic change across the organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape how projects are selected, prioritised and delivered, ensuring our investment in change achieves the greatest benefit for customers, colleagues and the business. Working closely with the Executive Leadership Team and senior stakeholders, you'll play a leading role in governance, portfolio management, change adoption and delivery excellence across both IT and business change initiatives.

About the Role

As PMO & Change Manager, you'll lead and develop the PMO function, providing oversight of the organisation's portfolio of projects and change initiatives. You'll facilitate the Change Management Board, establish effective governance and delivery frameworks, and ensure projects are delivered consistently, effectively and in line with strategic priorities.

You'll work collaboratively with leaders, project sponsors and delivery teams to improve planning, prioritisation, resource management and business adoption, helping Connexus deliver change successfully and at pace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Project Management Office and project delivery team.
  • Maintain a single view of the organisational change portfolio and support project selection and prioritisation.
  • Facilitate the Change Management Board and ensure robust governance and decision-making processes.
  • Develop and embed consistent project delivery methodologies, controls and reporting standards.
  • Drive adoption of Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery approaches where appropriate.
  • Oversee portfolio risks, dependencies, resource planning and delivery assurance.
  • Ensure effective change management, stakeholder engagement and business readiness activities.
  • Provide insightful reporting and recommendations to senior leaders and project sponsors.
  • Promote continuous improvement, lessons learned and delivery excellence across the organisation.

What we're looking for

  • You'll be an experienced PMO, portfolio management or project delivery professional with the confidence to lead teams, influence senior stakeholders and drive successful organisational change. You'll be passionate about improving how projects are governed, prioritised and delivered, while ensuring strong business engagement and adoption.

You'll bring

  • Proven experience leading a PMO, Portfolio Office or project delivery function.
  • Strong portfolio management, project prioritisation and governance experience.
  • Experience facilitating senior leadership forums and decision-making boards.
  • Deep knowledge of Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience managing and developing project professionals.
  • Excellent planning, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A recognised Project, Programme or Portfolio Management qualification, or equivalent experience.

This role has been identified as suitable for hybrid working which will be a combination of home working and working from our offices, with Head office at Craven Arms and travel to other offices as required.
